Generally speaking, blogging is not a well paid game. So, in order to cover our costs, we use affiliate links and advertising in some instances.
We take a responsible view towards both of these and don’t want either to hurt the reader experience. If you choose not to click affiliate links or adverts, that is fine with us. Your readership is more important to us than the small amount of money we might earn.
Affiliate Links
From time to time, we do use affiliate links on our blog.
Affiliate links reward The Money Mountain with a small amount of commission when a user follows that link and makes a purchase. This will not impact the price you pay when you are on the third party site.
Where we include affiliate links in any articles, we always make an effort to tell you that the page contains them. This is in order to be completely transparent with you.
This site’s use of affiliate links does not change its view of particular products and services that we may recommend. We always aim to give you our honest view and have always tried the things we write about or recommend, so we can stand behind any recommendations.
Advertising
Our intention is to run Google Adsense adverts on this blog. In line with Google’s own policies, the following should be noted.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks (other than Google) may serve ads on this site. In this case, we will provide links to the appropriate vendor and ad network websites. You may visit those websites to opt out of the use of cookies for personalized advertising (if the vendor or ad network offers this capability).
