This is possibly going to be the shortest update we’ve ever done. I heard about Swagbucks, I signed up to try it, I deleted my account within 30mins.
The article which led me to it waxed lyrical about the amazing rewards and all the ways you can earn. It sounded like it was right up my street; as you know, I love a survey and have no problem putting a bit of effort in for slow, steady returns.
I found it to be a chaotic site. It’s not user friendly and takes far too much effort to understand for precious little reward. Swagbucks can be earned on surveys, online shopping, poll questions and a few other areas. Here’s the problem though, you can do all of these with infinitely more reward through sites such as YouGov, Opinium, Prolific and TopCashback.
I don’t wish to cast aspersions on the chap whose article I read, but my guess is that he was promoting the site to get the referral ($5). Now, we could have done the same, but that would be going somewhat against the ethos of TMM. “Earn from our money mistakes.” We’d be earning from yours.
If you want to give it a go, be my guest, but don’t say we didn’t warn you. We’re happy to be proved wrong, so if anyone already using Swagbucks has a positive experience, please leave a comment. If you really think we should have another look at it, we’re willing to take that bullet for you.

Looks like a load of rubbish – thanks for taking one for the team and giving us a steer round this. With other good opportunities to earn money online, it makes no sense to much about with the worse ones.

I tried swag bucks once…you lasted three times longer than I did, ten mins I’m never getting back.
